Allen Meadows - Score: 97 (2014 June)

This has changed very little since I originally reviewed it and it remains absolutely fantastic with superb potential. My review stated that there was a bit of wood in evidence but that has largely disappeared to allow the green fruit, white flower and salt water aromas to shine. The ultra-pure, refined, elegant and cool flavors possess terrific vibrancy and focused power before culminating in a driving, understated, firm and altogether serious finish. I very much like this as it's classic Valmur and should age beautifully as the balance is perfect. I would note that while it can certainly be drunk now with pleasure it very clearly is still on the way up and I would strongly advise allowing it to continue aging. In sum, this is brilliant.
